After Re-installation of Vista, will not recognise ANY USB flash drive, yet still installs them... read on :)

Hello,

Vista Ultimate
4bg ram
geforce 7600 gt (x2)
Asus M2NE SLI (i think)
dual core proccessor i think is ATI
umm if you need anything els ill oblige :D

(praying my pc does not reset as i type)

Past few days my gfx drivers were messing up wildly, and no apparent fix is available. It was getting so bad i had to format (also was due for a format anyway...)

So anyway, I boot from vista disk, and the install starts and ends etc. Now, it will not display my USB disks under computer. They also do not show up under computer management. However, when i plug them in, i get the regular *du dum* sound and the alter for when i unplug. Also it does show up under device manager as mass storage device.

I also have the icon used to stop the device before removing it, and vista has claimed to have installed its drivers.

I own a laptop which is only a month old and in perfect order, and the drives show up normaly. that is vista home i believe.

The drives were showing up perfectly before i formatted the HDD. And now its being difficult!! (thank god i did manage to get all teh file si want to keep off the PC.)

I really hope you can help, for this bladdy PC is taking up valuable uni work time!! XDDD

Any suggestions?

Chezzy :)
