Email Missing

After upgrading to Vista from XP, all of my past emails are gone. I only have the day I am currently working on and nothing else. I have looked everywhere and can't find them. I am with comcast and they have not been any help whatsoever. Has anyone else had this problem. I'm about ready to go back to XP. Vista has just been one problem after another and the lost email tops the list. I would appreciate it if anyone has any ideas. Thanks so much.

How did you upgrade?
When you upgraded, did you backup all your e-mail messages or you just installed Windows Vista on top of Windows XP. What was the procedure you followed when upgrading from Windows XP to Windows Vista?
vista upgrade and missing emails
I upgraded to vista by installing over xp - i wasn't aware that any safety measures were required, now all my emails are missing. Is it possible to recover them?

I am having the same problem and I had my old computer backed up with a service. I can see my email folders but when I try to open them I get an error saying "windowns cannot open this file" When I started windows mail, I got some of my emails from my inbox but not all of them and my folders are useless right now.
