blurred pictures

recently i am having problem with blurred or distorted pictures on internet,and i am wondering if this is a known vista problem,pictures coming in on emails and in my own photo folders are fine,,would really like an answer if anyone has encountered this before

What pictures are distorted? Which are not?
I don't think there is a problem with the operating system but it would sure help to have more details about your problem.

any photos or picture on the net,like face book,news etc are all blurred,almost as if they were frosted over,,, print is fine,,all my folder and incoming email pics are fine,all ads are fine,,thank you for your quick response

Hmm... do you have a dial-up connection or mobile internet through operators such as Vodafone?

all acrtual photos are blurred,face book,real estate,news..and today its even worst,photos that were clear a few days ago are ,blurred today,,,,,and i am on dial up , and i did not have this problem before,,i do not have mobile operators,,this is a new compt,just purchased from dell 2 wks ago,,help,show me a direction to go please and thank you

I think the problem might be caused by the dial-up connection settings.
There are some types of connections which compress all files that are sent to save bandwidth. You will need to have someone take a look at your connection settings - maybe someone from your internet provider.

i remembered that this trouble started after i downloaded the dial up accelerator.i uninstalled it and everything is back to normal,will contact the internet provider to see what caused it,weird isn't it ,,,thanks again

I knew immediately what your problem was as soon as you mentioned dial-up accelerator. That, my friend, is your problem. In order for photos to load quicker,data is removed from the files. This will then give you a good idea of what the photo is really like. The if you decide you want to see the photo in sharp detail you must click somewhere (all the accelerators are a little different) to get the fully detailed photo. Also the higher the setting you use on your accelerator,the less detail you will get in your images.
