I have Mozilla Thunderbird installed as my e-mail software, bue now I want to change to Windows Mail. How can I import Contacts and Messages and Local Folders?
I'm not and experienced user in e-mail software, and I need the e-mail software to be the simplest possible. As I'm used to work with Outlook, I need a similar software to manage my e-mail. That's why.
What I really suggest is to migrate away from anything Microsoft after anything XP on - before that point, it was so easy to transfer information when one upgraded after OE6. With Mail - well there is only one article I have found anywayhere to even go Mail to Mail and it involves doing stuff to the registry.
Microsoft doesnt care that you bought the service they want more money. Pick a Product that will give you customer service when you buy the product like Incredimail. No one really answers my questions here either - (asked about doing a Windows Mail to Windows mail import after an Microsoft up date crashed my one year only laptop so now I am reloading every on a new larger hard drive).
So I will bite the bullet and go else where and lose every everything starting fresh - just to never go through this Microsoft Vista nightmare again - and I was SO passionate in love with OE6 and XP!
Thunderbird to Windows Mail
I found only this article.
Hope it helps.
Windows Mail & Mozilla Thunderbird
Well, thank you so much for your help. But even with this I couldn't do it. I'll have to find some other way. Thanks anyway.
Question
Why do you want to migrate from Thunderbird to Windows Mail?
Personally, I consider Thunderbird a much better e-mail client.
