power plan-settings lost after restart

hi everyone,

using your guide ( http://www.vista4beginners.com/power-management ), I face the following problem:

After every restart the minimum-power-setting for my processor is set back to 100% (using vista x64 with and without SP1).
Is the any fix for that problem ?

Thanks

Some one post the solution if you find one. This is an annoying bug.

Try this!

This definitely should not be happening to you.
Did this happen before or suddenly?
I suspect driver incompatibility. Update your system and if it does not work, try with Windows Vista Service Pack 2 RC. If this does not help, contact free Microsoft support.

ati graphics?

I have the same issue, but i found disabling or setting to manual start the Ati External event service helps this.
Be aware when you update the drivers the service is reenabled.
