A few days ago the weather gadget on my desktop displayed a continuous "service not available".
I am glad to say now that I have finally solved the problem thanks to the dogpile search engine.
Either follow the instructions below or go direct to the following website:

found alternative weather gadget
Hello,
I was asking for help with the weather gadget. It still isn't fixed but I cliked where it said " get more gadgets online" and downloaded the WeatherBug.
I was reluctant to do so because I searched online last night and downloaded the same weatherbug but the timing was out so I uninstalled it. Happy to say that the time works fine now, plus it has extra features. I also installed the digital clock which uses a lot less space which is useful because when you extend the weather bug it will push out other gadgets if there is insufficient space.
