I want to protect some of my files on Vista, and I was wondering if there was an easy way or a free program that I could get. Ideally it would protect a single file or folder, but im not bothered if it's something bigger like My Documents.

Password Protection
you want to password protect Microsoft Word files, you can add a password to them.
In Word 2007:
Office Menu > Pepare > Encrypt Document
Then type a password.
In Word 2003:
Tools > Options > Security
Then type a password.
However, it's better to simply create a user account for each person who uses the computer.
