Uninstalling XP off of vista computer.

Alright, I am new with this and I apologize ahead of time if I seem a bit stupid when explaining myself.

I have a Compaq PC that originally had Vista. A few months ago I was fed up with Vista and decided to have a friend of mine put XP on my PC. It was fine, until a virus got a hold of it. XP no longer works, at all. I'd rather have Vista, anyway.

My question is HOW can I delete XP off of my computer completly. I have no discs. Is it even possible to do, without? It is taking up a good chunk of space on my PC.

I'm not sure how it works.. but Vista is in the drive C: compaq. And XP is in drive F.

If anyone could help me out that would be GREAT!

Steps:

Log into Windows Vista.
Install VistaBootPro: http://www.vista4beginners.com/VistaBootPro
Delete Windows XP from the Boot menu and set Windows Vista as the default boot OS.
Format the partition on which Windows XP is installed.
