The volume icon disappeared after I applied SP2 to my Vista Home Premium. When I click on the Notification area tab of Taskbar and Start Menu Properties the Clock and Power text after the 4 checkboxes is black, whereas that after Volume & Network is gray & clicking in the Volume checkbox does nothing. I had successfully been able to recover a lost volume icon using this procedure prior to installing SP2, but not since. Any assistance would be appreciated.
