cannot save pdf files

Hello I have a promleb please help me.
well I have Vista on my PC. whan I start downloading a pdf file from an internet and trying to save it on a deskpot it saves not on a local user's desktop but on another a long way user;s desktop it sem there is another local user.
what can I do??
