I have a problem with Mozilla Thunderbird, the program that I use to manage the emails.
The problem regards the messages filtering rules: I have added lot of them, during the years, so that now the management is very difficult.
Sometimes I notice that a filter is enabled for a mistake, I don't know how to disable it, and a lot of important mails go to the Recycler bin.
I know that to delete the filter I must remove the check from the email in the message filtering menu, but the problem is how to find it!
They are ordered by the creation date, they are not in alphabetical order.
Has anyone of you been able to find a solution?
I have already looked at a lot of addons but I couldn't find anything regarding it.

hello everyone. first time here so i hope this is the right forum.

my question may be a easy one. i have vista home premium,and windows dvd maker apears to not be working. everytime i try and "ADD VIDEO" it says video type not supported. it used to run fine but now no matter what video format i use it says "not supported" i know that under the options tag there should be a "compatibility mode tab" but there isnt. please help. ~~ANDY

In Windows Vista Movie Maker, how do I adjust the picture duration for each picture AFTER I have already added my photos, effects, and transitions? I have finished my movie but have not published it yet because I feel each frame goes by too quickly (5 seconds). I'd like to change the picture duration to 7 seconds without having to remake the whole movie. When I go in and try to change the duration now, it doesn't change. Thanks!

i'm not much on computing, but i have a 2-cd program with auto-related service manuals on it that i need to be able to download and read so that i can service my auto. i downloaded the two cd's yesterday, but i cannot find a way to get into the program so that i can get the info i need. can someone please suggest what i am doing wrong?

I have a program that access an external .txt file to read its content, interpret it, make changes, and then edit that txt file upon application termination. Because of this, it forces me to run this application as the administrator. I have the MS App Compatibility Toolkit installed and I tried editing some of the application settings and now it runs with every user without prompt, but it only edits the file when I am using an admin account.

I need a way to reconfigure this file so that it works for any user on any computer the file gets moved to without the necessity of an administrator approval.

This is cracking my head.
When I first saw the changes in Windows I thought it was a very clever idea to have the Mac "look-alike" toolbar in the desktop. I do not know the exact name for that (hence I'm in this site for beginners) and have been trying everything to get this thing back but I can't.
It's a bar with big icons with shortcuts, such as "Office" that if clicked will show you Word, Excel etc. This bar simply disappeared from one day to another and I cannot get it back for some reason.
Please help as I found it so much easier to work with than the normal bars.
I realize my explanation is not very clear but please try to assist.

This is my first post here.
I have invested in an HP Pavilion Pv6 Entertainment notebook. It uses Vista OS.
My question is, what program should I use to watch movies (AVI's mpeg's and other things downloaded or ripped) on my living room flat screen? The flat screen has an HDMI input and the nootbook has an HDMI output. The nootbook has a remote control, just like a TV or DVD player. I tried it with Windows Media Player and the remote doesn't control anything. The computers screen is reproduced exactly on the TV screen.
Is there a default program that is commonly used for this purpose?
