Exporting Windows Mail back TO Outlook Express

I would like to export messages from Windows Mail back to Outlook Express. I have 2 laptops (1 with Windows Vista - Mail and other with Windows XP - Outlook Express). I have tried the suggestion on Microsoft website but was unsuccessful. Do you have any info or suggestions?

Thanks

Exporting Windows Mail back to Outlook Express

I, too, would like to export messages from Vista Windows Mail into Windows XP Outlook Express.
Microsoft support doesn't seem to have the answer, and all the links I've found refer to exporting Windows Mail to Outlook.
Surely, there is a way.

I worked out an easy

I worked out an easy solution for transferring Vista's Windows Mail to Outlook Express:
1. On the Vista computer, create a New Folder on the Desktop.
2. Open Windows Mail and position the window and New Folder so that you can see both.
3. Select the e-mail messages you want to go to Outlook Express, and drag them to the New Folder.
4. Put the new Folder onto removable media.
5. Attach the removable media to the XP computer.
6. Open Outlook Express and position the window and New Folder so that you can see both.
7. Open the New Folder and Select All.
8. Drag the selected messages into the list of messages for the Inbox or desired folder in Outlook Express (just make sure that the target folder is open).
9. Delete the New Folder from both computers and the removable media.

Thank You for the Tip.

Dear Kaezio,

About one week ago I bought a PC operating on Home Premium Vista, as I've been using my sons' which runs on XP. For me to be able to work on either of them, both computers must contain all my emails which I need to reply, as I have to be flexible enough to work on whichever PC that'll be available. You can imagine how delightful I am to have discovered the precious tip from you, after trying on my own for half a day without any success. Thank so you much, dear friend, and all the best to you.

Sincerely,
Khiong

Common mail folders for four home computers

I received a big shock today when I went looking for Outlook Express on my daugters new laptop.. which is the "wonderful" Vista OS. We wanted to commonize all the Outlook Express mail accounts, so no matter what home computer your logged into, you will still see your new mail and all your folders. Doesn't sound like I have a chance in ... to use Express. Do you think this is do-able with Outlook since that may still work in Vista, or should I complain to MS and try to get them to switch me to XP where at least more applications are compatable (and faster)? help !!
