curlycaro77 ... did you

curlycaro77 ... did you discover a solution for this problem ?
I know exactly what you are talking about - I have a dial-up broadband connection - I have set up the connection in several ways - setting up using the router's connection software - this caused the problem so I set it up in a "new network connection"as suggested by vista - this also caused the same problem .... whenever I attempt to connect to my ISP the password is no longer in the password field even though I have ticked the "remember password" check box in the connection details boxes.
I have the same problem with outlook .... none of my accounts will remember the passwords even though the box is ticked .....

I have found several forums describing a similar problem with Outlook but have yet to find a solution to the problem ....
Infuriating isn't it !!!
Ciprian's solution shows that Ciprian did not understand the problem ... I think it may be a security setting but having checked both vista's own security settings and my internet security software (panda) settings but nothing is obviously causing this problem.

Since my last entry I have

Since my last entry I have bought a new router and have ditched Outlook - problem solved .... well not solved, but I have accepted that the xp driver for my "dial-up" broadband router is not compatible with Vista. It has something to do with the method of saving passwords which is not supported by vista. I have also accepted that Outlook 2002 is out of date too ... yes it's comfortable and what I am used to ... but ... windows mail, windows calender and windows contacts all work together in a similar way to Outlook AND they are free AND already loaded with Vista ... it just takes a little getting used to.
Ultimately my new Speedtouch 546 router cost £25 ... it is connected via my Ethernet port and is "always on" ... it's a thousand times better than my old Speedtouch 330 and my connection does not drop out for no reason any more !

Thanks

I'm glad I'm not mad ... it's a real hassle trying to get online with a Speedtouch 330.
