Garbled text

In order to converge note taking of two people we have done the following with a problematic result.

One person was typing meeting notes on a drawing in pdf.
The second person was taking meeting notes and drawing on a paper version of an architectural drawing.

We took the drawing in pdf, with typed text, and printed it to window journal. We then added the sketches and additional required notes, in window journal, and then printed it back to pdf. We need to print it back to pdf because of the number of clients that review this information and most are not aware of window journal, but all have access to Adobe Acrobat.

When we printed back to a pdf the information that we had added in windows journal was fine, but the text from the original pdf had turned to garbage.

The only way that we successfuly been able to change the jnt file into a pdf that does not garble the typed text is to change to a tif file and then to a pdf file. The only problem with this is our original pdf file had colored typed text and our added information in the jnt file was also in color. When we print from jnt file to tiff file everything goes to grey tones.

Anyone's help on this would be helpful. We have a day full of notes and quite a bit of information that we would like to get back to our client's as soon as possible.
