When i try to install windows XP in windows Vista the message appear that

PS: Don't try to install Windows XP when you are logged in Windows Vista. You need to boot from the Windows XP CD.

if u want both i.e xp and vista then u must install xp first and then vista
in two different drives...
so that u can use it
then reboot again 2 run ur os.

Can not read XP CD in Window vista when my laptop starts boot.

I want to uninstall window vista home basic from my laptop, but when i put the XP SP2 CD to intall, It doesn't auto starting the XP SP2 CD. although my desktop computer reads the xp sp2 cd ok. Who can tell me how to install window xp sp2 on my laptop? The laptop's operating system is Window Vista home basic. My Laptop is HP Compaq . Thanks....

u insert the XP cd& the lab dont read it at the start of ur device
that becuse u didnt make the CD first boot
make it first boot then the lab will inter to the cd & install the XP

i have windows vista on my

i have windows vista on my computer but i want to put xp on it instead, however when i try and run the xp disc it wont let me format the partition where vista is it just says error your version of windows is newer and it wont let me go further.

i had a hp laptop with windows vista installed when i bought it. it has a recovery partition on it. But i decided to format the c: n install xp...with later i regrad n wan to reinstall vista with my d:recovery partition. but i cant..... can someone really intelligent tell me wat to do?

Cannot install XP

I've followed the above tutorial, but when i get to the part where i boot from the xp cd, it doesn't show any drives available to install on... not even the Vista Partition shows up.

How do i fix this?

dual boot problem

When i have partitioned and formated the HD drive of preinstalled window vista dell laptop (latitude dell 630) and tried installing window xp on dual boot with preinstalled window vista but after booting window xp CD and window setting up , i don't get any any hard drive with following message:Setup did not find any hard disk drives installed in your computer. Make sure any hard disk drives are powered on and properly connected to your computer and that any disk related hardware configuration is correct. Please give me solution.
