.EXE FILES AREN'T WORKING

Hi. All of my .exe files are being opened by the same default program. Or, attempting to be opened.
When I got to my default programs, all of my programs have the same icon. It's a blank page, with a small Mozilla Firefox symbol in the middle of it. So, say iTunes, for example, doesn't have the iTunes icon beside it.
Would anybody know what's from / how I could fix it?
