Hi
Im having problems with my new laptop.window vista.
when i write a message.the bar that is flashing on and off.jumps all over the place.it could end up at the top of the page or middle.it as took me ages to even write this message .because when i look what i have wrote...i have to delete..because it's all mixed up
it is doing my head in big time.
im only a beginner so any advice needs to be basic for me to follow.

What bar?
To what bar are you referring to? Can you make a screenshot and send a link?

not great at this link thing .sorry..if you can see shot i sent...after talking there is the bar im on about...may be it's not called a bar......but it jumps about while im typing....not great when i type a lot......hope you can help me please

Cursor blink rate
Ok... If I understood correctly, you are referring to the cursor that blinks when you type something (e-mail message, document in Word, etc).
The cursor is supposed to move when you type something, but not jump around erratically.
If you want to customize the blink rate, go to the Start Menu search box, type "keyboard" and click on the result with the same name.
There, in the 'Speed' tab you will find all the settings.
If you have some special keyboard, you should download & install the appropriate drivers for Windows Vista. This might solve your problem.
Vista program windows minimize and jump around
All windows in all programs minimize just by tapping the touch pad. I've had this toshiba laptop with Vista for over a year and have not found an answer to this extremely annoying problem. Makes a person a nervous wreck.

windows jump around and minimize
I bought a new Toshiba laptop which came with Vista installed, in the summer of 2007. I can be in any program from Office to IE to a scrabble game and clicking with the touch pad makes the window jump or minimize frequently and erratically. Please, can someone help me stop the insanity? I'm hating Vista.

There used to be a small box in my task bar that allowed me to move between american english and canadian multilingual text. It has disappeared... how do I recover same?
