When I initiate Parental Control, all users lose internet access

Just got new ACER desktop w/Vista Home Premium installed. When I try to use Parenta Control for one account, all users lose internet access and system becomes balky. Anyone else have similar problem?

What do you mean by "i try to use Parental Control?"
How is your internet connection setup?
I used Parental control
I used Parental control function for one of my kid's user accounts, to monitor usage. Once I did that, no users can browse the web. We have a DSL internet connection(not wireless). Even after removing parental controls, still unable to access internet. I had to do a system restore, then we regained internet access.

I have an Acer x1200 and have the same issue. I reinstalled the OS from my DVD and yet the same problem.
I think it has something to do with the Nvidia Drivers but cannot confirm.
Did you get a resolution to this?

I had the same problem on my Gateway FX6800-01a (with the new Core i7 CPU). My graphic card is a Radeon HD 4870.
What made you suspect it was caused by the Nvidia drivers? Did you ever resolve this?
Same problem on HP desktop
I also experienced complete internet connectivity loss when I turned on parental controls. I had to go back to the previous restore point to undo the changes and my connectivity was restored. Does anyone have a resolution to this issue?
FYI- The same thing happened when I installed Kaspersky internet security suite. I lost all internet connectivity. Are there any other suggestions for parental control software out there?
Same problem with parental controls and Acer
We are experiencing the same problem with our Acer computer. The internet access works fine without the controls but as soon as the parental controls are instituted the internet freezes on all accounts. I have an email into Acer regarding this problem, if I receive an answer I will post it.

Wondering if anyone could share a solution, I turned on parental controls on my daughter's account - then the internet became unaccessible on all accounts and the computer tends to freeze up within 5 mins. I have tried a couple of restore points but so far they have failed.

I just encountered the loss of internet when activating win parental controls. The only solution is to perform a system restore and then never ever using windows parental control or any other parental control such as windows live family safety or anything else - period. This is a problem with Acer Aspire computers.
