How to set up my Windows mail with POP3 for Windows Vista?

Hi, I try like 100 times to set up my Windows Mail with POP3 for yahoo, but I am continuing to get an error even though I download "YPOP". Could anybody help me? How could I set up my Windows Mail with POP3 for Yahoo mail? Please I need instructions step by step.
I have one more question. The computer ask me to enter my "User Name" and " Password". I enter it, but it is not working. Could you please tell me which user name and password I need to enter? I got this "review" on the following when I am unable to log on to my Windows mail.
"Account: 'pop.mail.yahoo.com', Server: 'pop.mail.yahoo.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR invalid user/password', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92"

Yahoo Mail Plus
1st: Are you using the free e-mail service from Yahoo or the paid one called Yahoo Mail Plus?
2nd: If you are using Yahoo Mail Plus then you can use POP3. Otherwise you cannot.

how did you set up your windows to access it. tried using YPOPs and can't get that to work. am trying to use it with outlook. i had plus until about 6 months ago, but it continued working in outlook until i changed something about a week ago. stupid me... HELP!

So what you mean to say is that there is now way to download my yahoo emails via office outlook 2007 on Windows Vista?
Yahoo Mail Plus
If you are not using the PAID e-mail service from Yahoo - called Yahoo Mail Plus - you can check your messages only on the Yahoo Mail site.
You CANNOT download your messaged using Outlook, Windows Mail or any other e-mail client.
If you want this feature you should choose a different e-mail provider who offers this for free - like GMail.
POP and Windows Mail
I've just managed to get my Yahoo Mail (not Plus) account working via Windows Mail. In Yahoo, go to "POP Access and Forwarding" and click on "View POP Settings". This opens a window that gives the server information you need to enter into Windows Mail.
It didn't work straight away for me as I forgot to tick the SSL boxes in the WM account settings - after I did that it works fine.
The only question I have is that all the mails get removed from the web version hence I can no longer see the old emails via the web interface, as they've all been transferred to WM. Also, I can't access the web version folders via WM. Anyone know how to fix this?

In windows mail tools>otions click through the tabs and on one there is a box that contrls whether mail is deleted

how do i forward my huge inbox in windows mail, over to my yahoo mail?
when setting up windows mail, my entire yahoo inbox got zapped through cyberspace and into my windows inbox. not copied, but totally moved. so now i want to move it back. it's very tedious forwarding to myself one letter at a time, and we're talking close to 1000 letters.
