Office 2003

I have Office 2003 student edition running on my home network 2 desktops and 1 laptop all with XP. I have replaced one desktop
with a new pc that is running vista and wish to load Office 2003 on this machine as I told it does work ok.
My question is can I deregister office 2003 from one PC and load it legally on to the new unit.
Any help would be appreciated

Just install on the new PC

You don't need to "deregister" from one PC and load it to another. You just uninstall it from the PC you won't use it on and install it on the other. It should be as simple as that.

On top of your Office 2003, i recommend you to download and install Service Pack 3:
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=E25B7049-3E13-4...

and the Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack for Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 2007 File Formats
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=941B3470-3AE9-4...

The last add-on will allow you to open files created with Office 2007 in Office 2003.

Office 2003

I uninstalled office 2007 trial copy and installed 2003 then office service pack 3 and the compatability file as you suggested. XL WORD and PP all work fne (I don't use OUTLOOK).
Each time I launch any of the applications I get an error code

BCM office ADDIN < office application version does not match>

I just click this off and carry on normally with the application.
Thanks again\ahsat
