Free space in "D" driver

My "D" drive is getting pretty full (1.04 GB free of 8.36 GB). I can't figure out how to free some of the space. I looked for a tutorial about deleteing some of the files from "D" drive but did not find anything. Do you have one that will help me? I am running Vista on an E Machine. Thank you. Bob

Disk Cleanup & CCleaner

These tools can help you:
Disk Cleanup and CCleaner.

Warning, as CCleaner is

Warning, as CCleaner is powerful it is also destructive, if you try to clean up your registration database without knowing what you are doing.

Also, if your D drive aren't where your OS and all your programs are installed, you might just have to clean up the old way - by opening folders and sorting the content out, and deleting what your aren't using.

Free space in "D" driver

I have ran CCcleaner and Disk Clean up with no results. I have opened "D" driver and there are 21 items. When I try to delete any of them I get a message that deleteing may affect other items so I don't dare to delete anything. Anything passed that is hard for me to do as I am too new to computers. I need a tutorial that will give me step by step instructions. Thanks Bob

My "D" Drive is Just About Full

Ok i don't no what i should do!! I bought my computer a little over 3months ago, it is a vista home premium. My "D" Drive is 5.63 MB Free of 14.6GB. About a week ago Dell had uninstall my vista then reinstall it. He was able to backup my files before they did it but i lost everything else. I do have Tune up Utilities 09 which i love, and it does give you the option to delete everything in your "D" Drive, or you can also delete everything manually. I dont have alot of options of downloading software to help me because i have a 64bit. Im fairly new to computers and i have put soo much money towards my pc, i really dont want to be in that situation again. Can someone please help me!! Thankyou Christie
